Big Eddy is a stretch of rapids in Franklin County, Tennessee, in the Interior Plateau region. It lies about 3.7 miles northwest of Winchester and roughly 40.6 miles northeast of Huntsville as the crow flies.
The Interior Plateau is a rolling limestone landscape of pasture, oak-hickory woodland and cedar glades in Kentucky and Tennessee, riddled with springs, sinkholes and caves. Waterfalls drop over limestone ledges and in karst valleys.
It is the only recorded rapid in Franklin County.
