Bucktooth Rapids is a stretch of rapids in Cattaraugus County, New York, in the North Central Appalachians region. It lies about 2.9 miles west of Salamanca and roughly 50.5 miles south of Buffalo as the crow flies.
The North Central Appalachians are a high, forested plateau of hemlock, pine and northern hardwoods in Pennsylvania and New York, deeply cut by river gorges. Tributaries drop into the gorges over sandstone ledges.
It is the only recorded rapid in Cattaraugus County.
