Apache Falls is a waterfall on tributary of Apache Creek in Huerfano County, Colorado, in the Southern Rockies region, with a total height of about 102 feet. It lies about 10.4 miles southwest of Colorado City and roughly 34.5 miles southwest of Pueblo as the crow flies.
At 102 feet it is taller than the typical Colorado waterfall of about 65 feet, ranking 54th of 162 with a recorded height. The water comes down as a horsetail, where the water keeps some contact with the bedrock as it falls.
The Southern Rockies are high, rugged mountains with alpine peaks, spruce-fir and lodgepole forest, aspen groves and glacial valleys. Snowmelt drives strong spring flows over granite and volcanic cliffs.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Huerfano County. Saint Charles Falls, is about 13.3 miles away. Crystal Falls, 30 feet high, is about 27.8 miles away.
