Coyote Rapids is a stretch of rapids in Grant County, Washington, in the Columbia Plateau region. It lies about 14.5 miles east of Desert Aire and roughly 29.7 miles northwest of Richland as the crow flies.
The Columbia Plateau is a vast expanse of layered basalt flows covered by sagebrush steppe, grassland and dryland wheat. Waterfalls here drop over basalt cliffs in coulees and river canyons carved by ancient floods.
It is the only recorded rapid in Grant County. Priest Rapids, is about 18.4 miles away. Horn Rapids, is about 21.3 miles away.
