Artist Point Falls is a tiered waterfall with a lidar-measured height of about 40 feet, on an unnamed tributary of Frog Bayou in Crawford County, Arkansas, near the Artist Point overlook on US 71.
The falls
A lidar survey puts the total drop at about 40 feet over at least three steps, well above the 15 feet recorded for the first plunge alone in an earlier account. The reading is unconfirmed.
Getting there
The route starts to the right of the Artist Point gift shop on US 71 and follows an old roadbed for 0.6 mile to the falls, passing switchbacks, a bluff shelter and a spot called Lover's Leap. The return climb is steep and strenuous. One hiking guide reports that the trail crosses private property and describes it as temporarily closed, though the notice is undated; check locally for current permission before visiting. A land manager, parking rules, fees and a 2026 closure status are not documented.

Flow can be strong after rain or barely present in dry weather; visiting after good rainfall is recommended.
