Kanick Rapids is a stretch of rapids in Humboldt County, California, in the Klamath Mountains/California High North Coast Range region. It lies about 21.9 miles northeast of Westhaven-Moonstone and roughly 85 miles northwest of Redding as the crow flies.
The Klamath Mountains and California High North Coast Range are a rugged, geologically complex region of steep ridges and deep river canyons with mixed conifer and hardwood forest, including redwoods near the coast. Wild rivers and steep creeks drop through rocky gorges.
