Steamboat Eddy is a stretch of rapids in Wayne County, Georgia, in the Southern Coastal Plain region. It lies about 8.1 miles south of Ludowici and roughly 50 miles southwest of Savannah as the crow flies.
The Southern Coastal Plain is flat, sandy lowland of pine flatwoods, swamps and springs in Florida and the Gulf coast, with only a handful of small waterfalls.
It is the only recorded rapid in Wayne County.
