Stone Rapids is a stretch of rapids in Schoolcraft County, Michigan, in the Northern Lakes and Forests region. It lies about 16.5 miles east of Manistique and roughly 144.4 miles northeast of Green Bay as the crow flies.
The Northern Lakes and Forests are a glaciated landscape of pine, spruce, aspen and northern hardwoods dotted with thousands of lakes and wetlands. Rivers step down over ancient bedrock ledges, with dark, tannin-stained water pouring over rock.
It is the only recorded rapid in Schoolcraft County.
