Buttermilk Falls is a 50-foot waterfall on an unnamed tributary of Catatonk Creek in Tioga County, New York, viewed from a roadside pull-off north of Owego.
The falls
The single fall is a staircase cascade dropping about 50 feet. It is also known as Turners Falls or Spaulding Hill Road Falls, and it is a separate feature from Buttermilk Falls State Park near Ithaca.
Getting there
The falls, at about 964 feet elevation, are viewed from Spaulding Hill Road, where a small dirt pull-off holds about two cars. The upper glen above the falls has been reported posted private property with no developed trail, so visitors stay at the road view. Ownership, parking authorization, and any current fee are not documented.
When to go
The small tributary flows best in spring or after rain and may be nearly dry by summer.

Roadside viewing from the pull-off is the only documented way to see the falls.
