Eagle Falls is a 36-foot plunge waterfall on Eagle Creek in McCreary County, Kentucky, inside Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. It drops near the creek's confluence with the Cumberland River, about 0.3 mile from Cumberland Falls.
The falls
Eagle Creek falls in a single plunge and lands on the rocks of the Cumberland River shoreline. The World Waterfall Database measures the drop at 36 feet; older measurements gave 44 feet, the figure Wikipedia still uses.
Getting there
The falls are reached on Eagle Falls Trail #9, which begins off KY 90 in the park and follows the cliffs toward Eagle Creek. The hike is 1.8 miles round trip to the falls, or 2 miles including the loop, is rated strenuous and marked with red diamonds. The park charges no general admission fee.
When to go
High water can put the lower section of the trail beside Eagle Creek underwater.

The route crosses cliffs, steep stairs and rocky sections. Park rules for the trail say no dogs and ask hikers to stay on the path.

A historic Civilian Conservation Corps shelter stands on the highest part of the loop.
