Feature Show Falls is a 259-foot segmented horsetail waterfall in Snohomish County, Washington, where an unnamed tributary pours straight into the Boulder River. It sits in the Boulder River Wilderness of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, about 10.3 miles from Darrington in the North Cascades.
The falls
The stream drops off the valley wall in a single leap, splitting into several ribbons as it falls. An in-person survey recorded a height of 259 feet with an average width of about 35 feet at an 81-degree pitch, while other accounts mention a cliff of 180 or more than 200 feet. The falls are often mistaken for Boulder Falls, a separate drop farther down the river.
Getting there
From I-5, follow SR 530 east and turn onto French Creek Road just after milepost 41, then continue 3.7 miles on a potholed road to the Boulder River trailhead. The lot holds about 15 cars and has no facilities. Hikers in July 2026 described the road as rough but passable. The walk to the falls spans about 1.25 miles one way to a viewpoint on a bench above the river. The Boulder River trail continues beyond the falls, reaching 8.6 miles round trip for the full route.
When to go
Flow runs strongest in winter and spring and thins out by late summer. The trail sees foot traffic year-round, with spring snowmelt offering the fullest volume for photography and weekdays providing quieter visits.

The main view of the falls is from a bench along the trail above the river. A steep side path drops from the trail to the riverbank. The main trail has rocky, rooty and muddy stretches, and is suitable for children. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
