The falls
A lidar-based estimate shows a 30-foot total with a 20-foot tallest drop in two steps, above an older figure of 38 feet in a single drop. A local field guide instead states 15 feet, with no method given, and pictures the creek fanning out over conglomerate, with smaller drops upstream.
Getting there
The falls are inside Haven Falls Park, a county park owned by the Keweenaw County Road Commission, across from Lac La Belle, with a picnic area and a toilet. From US-41, the route runs 4.3 miles south on Lac La Belle Road, then bears right for another 0.5 mile to the park. Visitors can view the falls from a vehicle at the park.
When to go
Spring brings the strongest flow; by summer the creek can be reduced to a trickle.
