Lady Face Falls is a 20-foot horsetail on Stanley Lake Creek in Custer County, Idaho, in the Idaho Batholith region southwest of Challis.
The falls
Stanley Lake Creek drops as a horsetail through a narrow bedrock gorge cut into a former glacier's terminal moraine. A lidar-based survey measured the drop at 20 feet in a single fall; the feature's status is Confirmed.
Getting there
Trail 640 starts at Stanley Lake and reaches Lady Face Falls in 4.5 miles round trip, on a route rated moderate; the falls themselves are a short side trip off the maintained trail. The most recent Forest Service trail report found, dated September 20, 2024, showed the trail closed because of the Wapiti Fire; whether it has reopened for 2026 was not confirmed, so check current status before heading out.

A restroom is available at the Stanley Lake Trailhead. Swimming rules, dog policy, child suitability and any gorge hazards or incidents at the falls are not documented.
