Getting there
The falls themselves cannot be visited. Lake Marble Falls, a 613-acre reservoir running 5.75 miles and held at a target 736.2 to 737 feet above sea level, now covers the site behind Starcke Dam. Public water access is by boat, with ramps at Cottonwood Shores, Hays and Johnson Park.
When to go
Lake Marble Falls is run as a pass-through reservoir, so there is no natural best-flow season for the submerged falls.

As of September 24, 2026, no floodgate operations were expected at Starcke Dam. The historical falls lie near the dam infrastructure, now submerged; swimming, shoreline access and other visitor details at the exact site are not documented.
History and name
The dam covering the falls was completed in 1951 as Marble Falls Dam and renamed in 1962 for former general manager Max Starcke.
