Meigs Falls, a 20-foot curtain waterfall on Meigs Creek, is one of the roadside views along Little River Road in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blount County, Tennessee.
The falls
A lidar survey now puts the drop at about 20 feet, down from an earlier estimate of 27 feet. The creek falls over exposed Thunderhead Sandstone, a Neoproterozoic-age rock layer identified at the site. The fall is seen from across the river, without leaving the road.
Getting there
The viewing pull-off sits along Little River Road, about 13 miles west of the Sugarlands Visitor Center or 7 miles east of the Townsend Wye. There is no sign marking it; the Park Service identifies it by the stone wall running along the road. The park charges no entrance fee, but vehicles parked more than 15 minutes need a parking tag: $5 for a day, $15 for a week, or $40 for a year.

Visitors are directed to view the falls from the designated pull-off. Serious injuries occur around the park's waterfalls, and water recreation is not recommended in its rivers and waterfalls.
