Minelot Falls is a 100-foot waterfall on Minelot Creek in Albany County, New York, in the Northern Allegheny Plateau region. It lies about 3.5 miles south of Altamont and roughly 11.8 miles south of Schenectady as the crow flies.
At 100 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of New York’s 184 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 43rd; the typical New York waterfall is about 50.5 feet. By form it is a plunge, where the water drops vertically and loses contact with the rock face.
