Paradise Falls is a 45-foot horsetail waterfall on the North Fork Arroyo Conejo in Wildwood Regional Park, Thousand Oaks, in Ventura County, California. It is a destination on the park's trail network.
The falls
The creek slides over a single rock face in one horsetail drop into a pool at the bottom of Wildwood Canyon. Lidar data places the height at about 45 feet. Earlier surveys listed 70 feet, a figure still quoted frequently, while other trail sheets give 40 feet.
Getting there
Wildwood Regional Park is run by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and is open from 7 a.m. to dusk. The main lot at 928 W. Avenida de los Arboles has 58 spaces.
A quieter approach starts from the free parking at Wildflower Playfield by the tennis courts. From US 101 in Thousand Oaks, exit at Lynn Road, drive north 2.6 miles to Avenida de los Arboles, turn left, and after 0.5 mile turn right into the lot across from Velarde Drive. A tunnel under Avenida de los Arboles leads to Moonridge Trail, which reaches the falls with a short stretch on North Teepee Trail. The return follows Wildwood Canyon Trail over a bridge and climbs Two Springs Trail back to Moonridge. The 2.9-mile loop is rated easy, with about 500 feet of climbing and descent on dirt fire roads and singletrack, some steps, and stepping stones across the creek. Two Springs Trail is closed to bikes and horses because of its stairs.
When to go
The park and the falls can be crowded on weekends; the Moonridge and Two Springs route stays quieter until it joins North Teepee Trail.
On site
Swimming is not permitted: the creek carries urban runoff, and visitors must stay out of the waterfall and the pool. Climbing on the rocks around the falls has led to serious injuries and deaths. Poison oak grows beside Two Springs Trail. Restrooms are at the playfield and at the bottom of the canyon, and bringing water is advised even though the park has a few fountains.

Wildwood's 14 trails cover 17 miles, so the falls combine easily with a longer loop. Farther afield, Sycamore Canyon Falls is about 5.5 miles away, and Triunfo Falls and HH Falls are each about 7.6 miles.
