Saint Mary Falls is a two-tiered waterfall about 35 feet tall on the Saint Mary River in Glacier National Park, Montana, just above St. Mary Lake.

Getting there
From the St. Mary Falls shuttle stop it is a 0.8-mile walk each way, descending about 260 feet; from the St. Mary Falls Trailhead the same descent takes 1.2 miles each way. Trailhead parking is limited and fills quickly, and the National Park Service recommends the shuttle stop as an alternative. Going-to-the-Sun Road fully opened for the season on June 22, 2026, and no vehicle reservations were required anywhere in the park that year. A seven-day, per-vehicle entrance pass costs $35; America the Beautiful passes are accepted.
When to go
Full Going-to-the-Sun Road access typically does not begin until late June or early July, and can close again for weather; summer parking at the trailhead fills early in the day.
