Tennessee Landforms lists Twin Falls on Monteagle Falls Creek within Bridal Veil Wilderness Preserve, which also carries two other named falls close by. Its height is not documented. The creek runs off the Cumberland Plateau's escarpment, a sandstone tableland cut by deep gorges; creeks in the area drop over sandstone caprock into gorges that produce many tall falls, and Twin Falls is one of them. It sits at about 1,613 feet elevation. Several other named falls sit within half a mile, on both Monteagle Falls Creek and Bridal Veil Creek.

Bridal Veil Wilderness Preserve is a roughly 600-acre private property. Current marketing for the preserve treats wilderness access as an amenity for property owners within it, not a general public destination.
