Chipmunk Rapids is a stretch of rapids in Bonner County, Idaho, in the Northern Rockies region. It lies about 16.7 miles north of Priest River and roughly 54 miles north of Spokane Valley as the crow flies.
The Northern Rockies are rugged, glaciated mountains with dense forests of western red cedar, hemlock, larch and Douglas fir in the moist valleys and alpine terrain above. Abundant snowmelt feeds rivers and cascading creeks.
It is the only recorded rapid in Bonner County.
