Damariscotta Reversing Falls is a stretch of rapids on Damariscotta River in Lincoln County, Maine, in the Acadian Plains and Hills region. It lies about 0.4 miles north of Damariscotta and roughly 45.2 miles northeast of Portland as the crow flies.
The Acadian Plains and Hills of Maine are rolling, glaciated forest of spruce, fir and northern hardwoods with countless lakes, bogs and rivers. Rivers drop over granite and slate ledges in falls and rips.
It is the only recorded rapid in Lincoln County. Factory Falls, is about 15 miles away.
