Great Falls is a stretch of rapids on Roanoake River in Northampton County, North Carolina, in the Southeastern Plains region. It lies about 1.5 miles northwest of Weldon and roughly 36.5 miles north of Rocky Mount as the crow flies.
The Southeastern Plains are rolling, sandy uplands of longleaf and loblolly pine, oak and farmland; waterfalls are few and small, over sandstone or clay ledges.
It is the only recorded rapid in Northampton County.
