Jackson Chute is a stretch of rapids in Lawrence County, Alabama, in the Interior Plateau region. It lies about 4 miles southwest of Rogersville and roughly 23.9 miles northwest of Decatur as the crow flies.
The Interior Plateau is a rolling limestone landscape of pasture, oak-hickory woodland and cedar glades in Kentucky and Tennessee, riddled with springs, sinkholes and caves. Waterfalls drop over limestone ledges and in karst valleys.
