The Big Eddy is a stretch of rapids in Haywood County, Tennessee, in the Mississippi Valley Loess Plains region. It lies about 10 miles north of Whiteville and roughly 20.8 miles southwest of Jackson as the crow flies.
The Mississippi Valley Loess Plains are bluffs and rolling uplands of deep loess soil with oak forest and farmland east of the Mississippi; waterfalls are rare and small.
It is the only recorded rapid in Haywood County.
