Alder Creek Falls is a little-documented waterfall on Alder Creek, on the southeast slope of Marys Peak in Benton County, Oregon.
The falls
The Northwest Waterfall Survey confirms a waterfall on Alder Creek at about 2,305 feet elevation on the peak's southeast slope, close to the mapped point at 2,230 feet. A zoological paper names the site as a type locality near mile 2.2 of Marys Peak Road. No height, drop count or form has been published for it.
Getting there
World Waterfall Database places the falls within Siuslaw National Forest, but there is no official feature page or marked trail to them. The only precise clue beyond the coordinates is mile 2.2 of Marys Peak Road, which does not by itself mean legal parking or a viewpoint. A trail elsewhere on Marys Peak is open to hikers with warnings about down trees and closes to bicycles each year until May 15, but it does not reach Alder Creek Falls.
