Alpental Falls is a waterfall in King County, Washington, in the North Cascades region, with a total height of about 250 feet. It lies about 15.2 miles east of Tanner and roughly 33.4 miles southeast of Sammamish as the crow flies.
At 250 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of Washington’s 941 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 154th; the typical Washington waterfall is about 82 feet. The water comes down as a horsetail, where the water keeps some contact with the bedrock as it falls.
