Bridal Veil Falls is a 45-foot waterfall on the southern edge of Heber Springs in Cleburne County, Arkansas, where a short trail maintained by the city leads from a roadside lot to an overlook and down to the base. A smaller neighboring fall on the next drainage is often called Cornelius Falls.
The falls
The water drops about 45 feet in a single leap, a figure the World Waterfall Database takes from lidar data; older surveys put the drop closer to 30 feet. The site is two waterfalls close together, and the name Cornelius Falls, historically this fall's own, is now usually attached to the smaller one on the adjacent drainage.
Getting there
The trail starts at 49 Bridal Veil Falls Road, off Highway 25 in Heber Springs. The site has parking, picnic tables and an overlook, and the walk is 0.6 miles round trip; AllTrails maps a 0.3-mile loop taking in both falls, with 68 feet of elevation gain, and rates it moderate. The parking area is gravel. No entrance fee is documented.

The trail is open year-round. Just after a rain is the recommended time to visit.

The overlook sits close to the parking area. Getting to the base means a steep, rocky descent with steps and some rock-hopping. The trail is open to dogs on a leash.
History and name
John H. Cornelius obtained the land in 1894 under the Homestead Act, and both falls originally carried his name. His family held the property until about 1903. The public used it freely for decades before the Young Business Men's club acquired it in the 1980s; in 2012 the Heber Springs Parks and Recreation Department agreed with the club to improve and maintain the falls. The Rotary Club of Cleburne County sponsored the parking lot, short trail and viewing platform.
