Chase Falls is a 40-foot waterfall on Prather Creek in Chase County, Kansas, in the Flint Hills region. It lies about 20.7 miles south of Council Grove and roughly 56.2 miles south of Manhattan as the crow flies.
At 40 feet it is among the ten tallest of the 15 Kansas waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 1st. It falls in 3 drops.
The Flint Hills are rolling tallgrass prairie on limestone and shale, one of the last large expanses of native tallgrass in North America. Small streams drop over limestone ledges in shaded valleys.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Chase County. Lake Kahola Falls, a dam waterfall, is about 14.2 miles away.
