Lidar models estimate the fall at roughly 210 feet in two drops; earlier surveys listed 240 feet. The waterfall sits at about 7,415 feet in the Colorado Plateaus, a high desert of layered sandstone mesas and canyons where streams often pour over rock ledges only after storms or snowmelt.
Getting there
The falls sit on land likely leased for natural gas drilling and probably closed to the public. No public trail, viewpoint or facilities are documented in the drainage. The nearest towns are Parachute, about 23.7 miles away, and Grand Junction, about 38.9 miles away.
