The falls
An on-site survey now puts the total height at 15 feet in two drops, with a tallest single pitch of 8 feet. The run covers about 150 feet and includes an upper plunge, a horseshoe-shaped cascade, and a final slide; one account describes the initial plunge alone as closer to 5 feet.
Getting there
Coliseum Falls sits within Crawford Notch State Park, managed by New Hampshire State Parks. From the Route 302 trailhead, the Bemis Brook Trail branches off after 0.2 mile and passes Fawn Pool on the way to the falls. The park lists no day-use fee or reservation for this trailhead. In winter, the nearby Arethusa Falls parking lot is plowed but has no facilities.

Flow is strongest during the spring freshet and continues into autumn.

Fawn Pool and flat rocks along the brook give views of the falls. Swimming and dog rules, an accessible viewpoint, and any deaths, rescues or injuries here are not documented.
