The World Waterfall Database's current listing shows the site's elevation as 1,824 feet instead, close enough to be the same point — that figure is elevation, not the waterfall's height — and places the waterfall in neighboring Tillamook County rather than Washington County; the county boundary remains unresolved. This is not the well-known suspension-bridge Drift Creek Falls near Lincoln City, a different waterfall in Lincoln County. The area lies in Oregon's Coast Range, a belt of steep, deeply dissected hills wrapped in dense temperate rainforest, where heavy winter rain feeds short, fast creeks that drop toward the coast.
