Dry Creek Falls is a waterfall on Dry Creek in the Willamette National Forest, Marion County, Oregon, near the Opal Creek area, at an elevation of about 2,088 feet, roughly 10.1 miles northeast of Mill City and 35.5 miles east of Salem.
The falls
The waterfall sits in the Cascades, a high volcanic range of dense conifer forest cut by basalt cliffs and lava flows, an area with one of the highest concentrations of waterfalls in the country.
Getting there
The falls lie near the Opal Creek Scenic Recreation Area, the closest developed access point. That recreation area is currently closed, because its access road sits inside the area closed after the Beachie Creek and Lionshead fires; the page was last updated March 28, 2025, and there are no restrooms or potable water on site.
