Hickory Canyon Falls is a 40-foot waterfall on Hickory Creek in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri, in the Ozark Highlands region. It lies about 9.1 miles northeast of Farmington and roughly 52.5 miles south of St. Louis as the crow flies.
At 40 feet it is among the ten tallest of the 8 Missouri waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 2nd. By form it is a horsetail, where the water keeps some contact with the bedrock as it falls.
The Ozark Highlands are a dissected limestone and dolomite plateau of oak-hickory forest, glades and karst springs. Spring-fed streams and creeks drop over ledges and into sinkholes and caves.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Ste. Genevieve County. Falls Branch Falls, a 20-foot horsetail waterfall, is about 20.8 miles away.
