Howard Falls is a 50-foot waterfall on Falk Run in Erie County, Pennsylvania, in the Erie Drift Plain region. It lies about 5.4 miles south of Fairview and roughly 14.1 miles southwest of Erie as the crow flies.
At 50 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of Pennsylvania’s 133 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 20th; the typical Pennsylvania waterfall is about 28 feet.
The Erie Drift Plain is rolling glacial farmland and beech-maple woodland south of Lake Erie, with waterfalls where creeks cut through shale and sandstone bluffs.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Erie County. Rock Creek Falls, a plunge waterfall, is about 30 miles away.
