Indian Falls

Indian Falls is a small waterfall on Eighteen Mile Creek in Rolin T. Grant Gulf Wilderness Park in Lockport, Niagara County, New York, about 1.5 miles from Lockport and 14.8 miles from Amherst.

The falls

A watershed report on the Eighteen Mile Creek basin documents shallow riffles and a pool immediately below the falls. The site sits at about 417 feet of elevation. This Niagara County fall on Eighteen Mile Creek is a separate feature from the 20-foot Indian Falls on Tonawanda Creek in Genesee County.

Getting there

The park, at 1097 West Jackson Street, is City of Lockport land. Trails run through the valley cut by Eighteen Mile Creek, but the city does not publish official parking, route distance, elevation gain, surface, accessibility, fees, hours or permit details.

History and name

Rolin T. Grant Gulf Wilderness Park was established in 1967 with six acres and was later expanded to its current 75 acres. The city says Indian Falls attracts hikers to the park.
