Laurel Falls is a 45-foot plunge waterfall on Laurel Creek in Rhea County, Tennessee. It is the private Rhea County Laurel Falls, a separate waterfall from the taller, publicly known Laurel Falls at Laurel-Snow State Natural Area near Dayton.
The falls
The creek drops 45 feet in a single plunge. A separate, smaller falls, about 10 feet, sits a little more than a tenth of a mile downstream on the same creek. The location matches the USGS-mapped Laurel Falls in the Roddy quadrangle, which helps confirm this is not the Laurel-Snow waterfall.
Getting there
The falls are on private property. The current status is posted: the land is closed to general public access, and no land manager, trailhead, parking, fee, hours or permit is documented for the site. Visitors should not enter without permission from the property owner.
