Getting there
The Pennsylvania Game Commission manages the surrounding State Game Lands 13. The route to the falls starts at a gate on Grassy Hollow Road: the near-falls parking point is about 1.7 miles and 450 feet of climbing from the gate, and a closed gate adds extra road walking. The broader Heberly Run waterfall route is a strenuous 2.9-mile off-trail loop over dirt and steep terrain with water crossings. A current fee, hours, or permit status has not been documented.
When to go
Grassy Hollow Road is gated except during hunting season and unmaintained in winter. Timber rattlesnakes may be present from late April through early October.
On site
A path reaches the top of the falls; the preferred view from the opposite bank requires crossing Heberly Run, and the descent to the base is very steep. The route is not a maintained trail, with slippery rocks, mud, ledges and multiple wet crossings.
