Marble Falls, known locally as Milton Falls, is a 65-foot horsetail waterfall on Milton Creek near the town of Marble in Gunnison County, Colorado. It sits on private land, and it is best known as the waterfall behind the Coors beer logo.
The falls
Milton Creek slides down a high rock face above the valley, keeping contact with the rock as it falls. Under the name Milton Creek Falls, the height is recorded at 65 feet, marked as an unconfirmed figure.
Getting there
The falls sit across from the west end of the Marble airstrip, at mile marker 4 on County Road 3. The approach is an unofficial dirt path of less than half a mile off Deer Trail Road, and all of it crosses private property. There is no public trail, and the landowner allows only respectful ice climbers to cross; ask permission before going.
When to go
In winter the falls freeze into an ice climb, and Milton Creek keeps coating the ice with fresh water all season.

History and name
The waterfall has often been called Marble Falls, but its local name is Milton Falls; the waterfall locals call Marble Falls is in the Crystal River gorge above Beaver Lake. In 2003 a Coors spokesperson said the company's 1978 logo was modeled on Milton Falls, not on Twin Falls as many had assumed.
