Midnight Hole Falls is a waterfall on Big Creek in Haywood County, North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge region, with a total height of about 6 feet. It lies about 11.2 miles northwest of Cove Creek and roughly 33.3 miles west of Asheville as the crow flies.
At 6 feet it is one of the lowest falls in the state’s records: of the 288 North Carolina waterfalls with a documented height only 1 are shorter, while the typical North Carolina waterfall stands around 50 feet. The water comes down as a punchbowl, where the water is forced through a narrow gap into a large pool.
