Northgate Falls is a 30-foot waterfall in Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut, in the Northeastern Coastal Zone region. It lies about 3.1 miles north of West Simsbury and roughly 12.2 miles northwest of West Hartford as the crow flies.
At 30 feet it is taller than the typical Connecticut waterfall of about 25 feet, ranking 17th of 53 with a recorded height. By form it is a tiered waterfall, falling in several distinct steps one after another.
The Northeastern Coastal Zone is a rolling, glaciated lowland of oak-pine forest, stony soils and dense settlement from Boston to Long Island Sound. Waterfalls are small, often on former mill streams over granite ledges.
