Panther Creek Falls is a waterfall on Panther Creek in Linn County, Oregon, about 14.6 miles south of Mill City, at an elevation of around 1,519 feet.
The falls
The creek runs through the Cascades, a high volcanic range of snow-capped peaks and dense conifer forest that gets abundant rain and snow on its western slopes. Basalt cliffs and lava flows across the region give it one of the country's highest concentrations of waterfalls. Panther Creek carries two recorded waterfalls along its course, out of 130 recorded in Linn County. World Waterfall Database's Oregon inventory confirms this Panther Creek Falls but publishes no height, drop count or description. It is a separate feature from the better-documented, cataloged 136-foot Panther Creek Falls in Skamania County, Washington. Trail access, fees and other details for the falls are not documented.
