Redrock Falls is a 40-foot cascade on Swiftcurrent Creek in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, Montana. It sits at about 5,097 feet, at the end of a nearly level walk from the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.
The falls
The falls form a segmented steep cascade with a drop of about 40 feet based on lidar data. In a segmented cascade the creek splits into separate streams across the rock.
Getting there
The trail starts at the west end of the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn parking lot, where there is a seasonal restroom, and follows the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail. The route is 1.9 miles one way with 267 feet gained and 105 feet lost, and is relatively flat. Fishcap Lake along the way is a popular stop.
Glacier requires no vehicle reservations in 2026. Admission is $35 per vehicle for seven days, plus $100 per person for non-US residents aged 16 and older unless they hold an eligible pass.
When to go
Seasonal flow for the falls isn't documented. In late summer 2026 the park posted the stretch from the camp store to Redrock Falls as frequented by bears, so check the trail status page before setting out.
On site
Moose are sometimes seen along the route. Hikers should take extra care around the water, steep drop-offs and wildlife. Dogs are not allowed on Glacier's trails.
