Rocky Falls is a 40-foot waterfall on Rocky Creek in Shannon County, Missouri, in the Ozark Highlands region. It lies about 8.6 miles northeast of Winona and roughly 90.9 miles north of Jonesboro as the crow flies.
At 40 feet it is among the ten tallest of the 8 Missouri waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 2nd. By form it is a cascade, descending over a series of rock steps rather than in a single drop.
The Ozark Highlands are a dissected limestone and dolomite plateau of oak-hickory forest, glades and karst springs. Spring-fed streams and creeks drop over ledges and into sinkholes and caves.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Shannon County. Falling Springs Falls, a 20-foot plunge waterfall, is about 16.3 miles away.
