Rocky Top Falls is a 230-foot waterfall on Tributary of Polecat Creek in Teton County, Wyoming, in the Middle Rockies region. It lies about 37.2 miles southeast of West Yellowstone and roughly 83.4 miles northeast of Idaho Falls as the crow flies.
At 230 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of Wyoming’s 230 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 37th; the typical Wyoming waterfall is about 60 feet. The tallest single drop is 200 feet. By form it is a tiered waterfall, falling in several distinct steps one after another.
The Middle Rockies are high, glaciated mountain ranges with alpine peaks, subalpine fir and spruce forest, lodgepole pine and grassy intermontane valleys. Snowmelt streams cascade down glacial valleys and canyon walls.
