Sage Hen Falls is a 15-foot waterfall on Sage Hen Creek in Owyhee County, Idaho, in the Northern Basin and Range region. It lies about 23.6 miles south of Marsing and roughly 29.3 miles southwest of Nampa as the crow flies.
At 15 feet it is one of the lowest falls in the state’s records: of the 36 Idaho waterfalls with a documented height only 0 are shorter, while the typical Idaho waterfall stands around 60 feet.
The Northern Basin and Range is high desert of sagebrush, grassland and isolated ranges in southeastern Oregon, northern Nevada and southern Idaho. Waterfalls are uncommon, mostly in canyons and on spring-fed streams.
