Trinchera Falls is a 10-foot waterfall on Trinchera Creek in Las Animas County, Colorado, in the Southwestern Tablelands region. It lies about 26.8 miles east of Trinidad and roughly 81.8 miles southeast of Pueblo as the crow flies.
At 10 feet it is one of the lowest falls in the state’s records: of the 162 Colorado waterfalls with a documented height only 1 are shorter, while the typical Colorado waterfall stands around 65 feet. By form it is a punchbowl, where the water is forced through a narrow gap into a large pool.
The Southwestern Tablelands are semi-arid canyonlands and mesas of shortgrass prairie, juniper and shinnery oak. Seasonal streams drop over sandstone and caprock ledges.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Las Animas County. Folsom Falls, is about 21.7 miles away across the state line in New Mexico.

The creek name is confirmed against the federal Geographic Names Information System. The exact position has not yet been verified on aerial imagery, so treat the map pin as approximate.
