Watson Shoals is one of the recorded waterfalls in Madison County, Georgia, in the Piedmont region. It lies about 3.9 miles southeast of Comer and roughly 18 miles east of Athens as the crow flies.
No height measurement has been recorded for it yet. The water comes down as a dam-created falls, where a man-made structure creates the drop.
The Piedmont is rolling upland between the Appalachians and the coastal plain, with mixed oak-pine forest, farmland and expanding cities. Waterfalls mark the fall line and the rocky beds of rivers crossing hard crystalline rock.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Madison County. High Shoals, 60 feet high, is about 28.6 miles away.
