Wyandot Falls is a 14-foot waterfall on the Glen Leigh branch of Kitchen Creek in Ricketts Glen State Park, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
The falls
The fall drops over a vertical block that can broaden into a ledge 30 to 35 feet wide when the stream runs high. A World Waterfall Database survey done in person put the height at 14 feet, a little under the 15 feet in older records. The stream is lake-fed, runs year-round, and is usually lowest from late July through September. Wyandot Falls is the last and smallest named waterfall in Glen Leigh, about 200 feet above Waters Meet, where Glen Leigh joins Ganoga Glen.
Getting there
From the Lake Rose trailhead, Highland Trail runs about 0.8 mile to the Glen Leigh cutoff, and the route then drops just under 0.7 mile downstream to the falls. Ricketts Glen State Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, with day-use areas closing at dusk, and Pennsylvania state parks charge no entrance or day-use fee.
When to go
Late July through September usually brings the lowest water. DCNR closes the steep Falls Trail in winter to anyone without ice-climbing or winter-hiking gear. The park's online alerts page showed no active danger or information notice on September 25, 2026.
On site
Swimming is limited to the park's designated beach; it is not allowed at the Falls Trail waterfalls. An accessible viewpoint at Wyandot Falls is not documented.
