Appomattox River Falls is a stretch of rapids on Appomattox River in Petersburg city, Virginia, in the Southeastern Plains region. It lies about 0.8 miles southeast of Ettrick and roughly 22.4 miles south of Richmond as the crow flies.
The Southeastern Plains are rolling, sandy uplands of longleaf and loblolly pine, oak and farmland; waterfalls are few and small, over sandstone or clay ledges.
It is the only recorded rapid in Petersburg city. Hollywood Rapids, is about 20.7 miles away.
