Bonanza Falls is a waterfall on the Big Iron River in Ontonagon County, Michigan, near Silver City, where a lidar reading puts the main drop at about 6 to 7 feet.
The falls
The river spreads over a broad ledge here; the main 6-to-7-foot formation continues into a series of lower ledges for more than a quarter mile, about 35 feet cumulatively, with no single step higher than roughly 3 to 4 feet. The reading is unconfirmed. The falls are also known as Greenwood Falls.
Getting there
A signed side road and parking lot sit less than a mile south of Silver City on M-64, with a riverside path of about 0.1 mile round trip to the falls. An official land manager, formal trail designation, and current fee or permit status are not documented.
When to go
Flow is stronger after heavy rain and during spring snowmelt, and weaker by midsummer.

American Whitewater rates the main drop Class III+ for paddling, with an easy scout and portage path on river right. Rocks, multiple channels and changing water levels call for caution.
